At Mandala Hotels & Resorts, hospitality extends far beyond our hotels. Every day, we strive to create welcoming spaces where people can rest, recharge and feel cared for. That same philosophy is what inspired our donation initiative supporting children’s hospices across Australia.
In October 2024, Mandala Hotels & Resorts donated premium rollaway beds and luxury linen to children’s hospices, helping provide greater comfort for families spending precious time with loved ones receiving specialist palliative care. The initiative reflects our commitment to making a positive difference in the communities where we operate and supporting organisations that care for families during life’s most difficult moments.
Providing Comfort Beyond the Hotel Room
Quality sleep and comfort can make a meaningful difference for families staying alongside children with life-limiting conditions. By donating hotel-quality beds and linen, Mandala is helping create more welcoming environments where families can rest while remaining close to those who need them most.
The donations have been distributed to children’s hospices across Australia, including Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice. These facilities provide specialised care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions while offering invaluable support to their families.

Supporting Hummingbird House
Hummingbird House is Queensland’s only children’s hospice and one of just a handful across Australia. The organisation provides specialised paediatric palliative care to children and young people with life-limiting conditions, offering families support in their purpose-built Brisbane hospice, at home and within their local communities.
Their work ensures families have access to compassionate care throughout every stage of their journey, helping create meaningful moments together when time matters most.
