This time, we’re proud to shine a light on The Thunderbird Motel Yass, which has partnered with the Yass River-Nanima Rural Fire Brigade, a volunteer brigade of the NSW Rural Fire Service dedicated to protecting the Yass community and surrounding region.
Supporting Those Who Support the Community
Rural fire brigades play an essential role in regional communities, powered by volunteers who give their time to help protect local people, properties and businesses, particularly during the demanding fire season.
The Thunderbird Motel Yass is supporting the Yass River-Nanima Rural Fire Brigade in practical and meaningful ways, including accommodation and restaurant vouchers for fundraising initiatives, financial and in-kind support, and access to meeting spaces, rest facilities and showers when needed.
The motel also helps keep its team and guests informed by sharing important brigade updates, including current fire danger ratings.
